{"id":3071,"date":"2012-07-02T21:32:33","date_gmt":"2012-07-02T11:32:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.flamingspork.com\/blog\/?p=3071"},"modified":"2012-07-02T21:48:29","modified_gmt":"2012-07-02T11:48:29","slug":"chickpea-and-green-bean-curry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.flamingspork.com\/blog\/2012\/07\/02\/chickpea-and-green-bean-curry\/","title":{"rendered":"Chickpea and green bean curry"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>oil (olive, canola, whatever you like)<br \/>\n2 tsp mustard seeds<br \/>\n1 onion (chopped)<br \/>\n2 cloves garlic<br \/>\n1 dried chilli (crushed\/chopped) &#8211; or more, depending on heat preference and heat of chilli<br \/>\n2 teaspoon chopped ginger<br \/>\n2 tsp ground coriander<br \/>\n2 tsp ground cumin<br \/>\n2 good handfulls of green beans, chopped into inch long pieces<br \/>\n1 can chickpeas (drained, washed)<br \/>\n1 can diced tomatoes<\/p>\n<h2>Method<\/h2>\n<p>Put oil in saucepan, add the mustard seeds<br \/>\nAs the mustard seeds start to pop, add the chopped onion<br \/>\nCook until onion is soft, then add all the spices<br \/>\nStir and cook for ~30 seconds, until aromatic<br \/>\nAdd can tomatoes, chickpeas and beans.<br \/>\nstir and cook until chickpeas are done and beans are a little softer, but still nice and crunchy (you can cook for longer if you like your green beans more well done, but I like a bit of crunch)<\/p>\n<p>This took not much time, and was invented this evening purely because earlier in the day I had felt the need for green beans.<\/p>\n<h2>Nutrition<\/h2>\n<p>This serves about 2-3 people (depending on how much you eat).
