Rik van Riel calls for a boycott of Lexmark – I’m joining him on this call. The behaviour of Lexmark with this is just crack-smoking crazy talk.
I have never bought a Lexmark and never will. I will also strongly recommend against anyone I know every buying one.

I’m happy to jump on a passing bandwagon, but it DOES have to have large signs on the side… Lexmark are evil because…?
I am boycotting Lexmark because of their attempts to use the DMCA to force customers into using only their toner.
The DMCA is a travesty in itself, but to use technicalities in it to legally enforce a monopoly on your clients is inexcusable.
I am an IT Admin, and I have so far replaced 4 or 5 lexmark printers that were sooner or later going to retire and I have replaced them with other brands. There are 2 left, and they will be gone soon. I have around 25 printers at my site
I will never buy another Lexmark ever, and I will always strongly advise against it.
Lexmark’s actions were speculative, and they must have known there would be possible repercussions.
