Honestly, what the fuck is up with that?
You can disable it near where you enable AutoSave. That said, at face value it seems really dumb.
I can only assume it was put in place for people who only like to save when their work isn’t in some intermediate state – and are forgetful. Prompt to autosave is certainly a bad default.
